Physiotherapy is the branch of science that deals with the cure, prevention and rehabilitation of the challenged and physically disabled people. Physiotherapy is considered as one of the ancient sciences to cure people through physical practices. Physiotherapy, or physical therapy, is a Health care profession concerned with the assessment, maintenance, and restoration of the physical function and performance of the body. This independent health profession is a non-surgical process that is aimed at reducing pain, restoring functionality and improving the movement of the affected part of a patient’s body. The practice of Physiotherapy is concerned with the function of different body systems and is devoted to the movement sciences.

BACHELOR OF PHYSIOTHERAPY (BPT)

Duration: 4 Years 6 Months; Full Time.
Eligibility & Admission
For the admission to physiotherapy programme, the candidate should have qualified the examination conducted by the individual institutions/universities. In order to get admission you have to follow the following criterion:
Should have completed the 17 years of age
Should have completed the 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks
Should have physics, chemistry and biology in plus two examination

MASTER OF PHYSIOTHERAPY(MPT)

Duration: 2 Years; Full Time
Eligibility & Admission
You will have to secure 50% marks in BPT and clear the entrance exam in order to secure a seat in MPT programmes.

Exams include All India Post Graduate Physiotherapy Entrance Test, CET for Master’s courses, JIPMER All India Entrance Exam, etc.

You will also have to complete at least 6 months as an intern in this field to be eligible for MPT courses.

Ph. D in PHYSIOTHERAPY

Eligibility & Admission
For doctoral programmes, you will have to secure excellent marks in your post-graduation and clear entrance exams and interviews for fellowships.
